Friday 11 September: Back to School

Celebrate the openings of Beyond Measure: Domesticating Distance and Moving Image with the sweet melodies of The Birdloft, Roberta Quilico and a stunning performance and short film by the Durham School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

 

Friday 2 October: Harvest Moon

Enjoy the captivating folk rock sounds of Jesse Parent and Birds of Bellwoods. Learn about the history of manipulated images as we open our Mindful Manipulation and glimpse into the spirit world with our Ghosts of The Gallery documentary. Friday 6 November: Mixed Media

A Matter of Abstraction opens with a tour by Josée Bélisle, curator of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal Permanent Collection. Enjoy the indie pop of Language Arts and Katie Du Temple’s eclectic jazz. Join artist Mike Drolet in Gallery A. Learn more about toys as tools for social change with guest partner 21 Toys.

 

Friday 4 December: Holiday Magic

Carolyn T’s powerful voice commands the stage followed by an engaging performance by Dale Russell, former member of “The Guess Who." Learn more about Ray Mead: Abstraction Through Line, while enjoying a tea tasting by Honey and Tea. Support our community partner Feed the Need Durham by donating a non-perishable food item.
